L’evento di chiusura del ciclo “Sensibilizzazione con SAGacia25” dal titolo “A Point of Convergence” sarà in lingua inglese e si terrà il giorno 17/10/2025 dalle 15 alle 18 CET presso l’aula Aldo La Ginestra del Dipartimento di Chimica (edificio Cannizzaro, CU014), Sapienza Università di Roma (piazzale Aldo Moro 5, Roma).
The closing event of the “Sensibilizzazione con SAGacia25” series, titled “A Point of Convergence“, will be held in English on October 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM CET. The venue will be the Aldo La Ginestra Lecture Hall, located in the Department of Chemistry (Cannizzaro Building, CU014), Sapienza University of Rome (Piazzale Aldo Moro 5, Rome).
Come sottolineato in “SAGacia25: Arte e Scienza” ed in “Chem-Art: The beauty concealed in chemistry” è necessario superare la storica frattura tra scienza ed arte, aprendo la strada a una nuova modalità di conoscenza, in cui arte e scienza non siano più opposte, ma complementari nella costruzione di un sapere critico e trasformativo. Consci di ciò, definizioni e movimenti come Chem-Art, Bio-Art, ARCHEMY [2] e progetti come SAGacia ed Enfold non sono solo mere definizione, ma un invito a ridefinire i rapporti tra pensiero, creazione e responsabilità ed un ponte fra tradizione e modernità [1, 3].
As emphasized in “SAGacia25: Art and Science” and “Chem-Art: The Beauty Concealed in Chemistry,” it is essential to transcend the historical divide between science and art, paving the way for a new mode of knowledge—one in which art and science are no longer seen as opposites, but as complementary forces in the construction of a critical and transformative understanding. With this awareness, definitions and movements such as Chem-Art, Bio-Art, ARCHEMY [2], and initiatives like SAGacia and Enfold are not merely terminologies, but rather an invitation to redefine the relationships between thought, creation, and responsibility, bridging tradition and modernity [1,3].
La necessità di trovare un punto di convergenza è il tema centrale dell’evento di chiusura del progetto “Sensibilizzazione con SAGacia25”. Rendere visibile il filo rosso che lega scienza ed arte può sbloccare punti di vista e nuove opportunità sia per gli scienziati che per gli artisti. Da questa connessione, infatti, è nato proprio SAGacia che forte di ciò, riesce nel suo intento di sensibilizzare su tematiche importanti come l’impatto ambientale dell’estrazione delle risorse strategiche.
The need to find a point of convergence lies at the heart of the closing event of the “Sensibilizzazione con SAGacia25” project. Making visible the common thread that connects science and art can unlock new perspectives and opportunities for both scientists and artists alike. It is precisely from this connection that SAGacia was born, a project that, drawing strength from this synergy, successfully fulfills its mission to raise awareness about pressing issues such as the environmental impact of strategic resource extraction.
